Come enjoy golf with us, the game of a lifetime.
Zwartkop is a family business.
Otway Hayes was Zwartkop's first golf professional; a position he held for 56 years, from 1940 to 1996. His son, Brian, joined him in 1969 and still works at the club. Younger brother Dale bought the business in 2001 and has taken over all aspects of running the Club.
Brian and Dale's son's Ian and Adam, are members of the PGA of South Africa and both are involved in the business. Ian is the Golf Director and Adam handles the Catering and social media.
Zwartkop is a family business in more ways than one and our staff aim to offer all golfers a fun, warm and friendly atmosphere while exceeding their expectations. We have a golf course; golf academy; a golf school called the Golf Management Campus, facilities for conferences, weddings and other functions, a hair and beauty salon, gym and a small snooker club.
We offer a variety of affordable memberships and corporate golf days and events are welcomed.
Give us the opportunity to ensure that your golf outing is both memorable and fun.
It’s always a perfect day for golf at Zwartkop!
Zwartkop Country Club
is a club that honours the tradition and history of the game. The golf course is a beautiful classic parkland challenge, with a river that comes into play and a variety of mature trees lining the fairways. It’s pure golf, its fun and at the end of your round we want you to think; “I can’t wait to play the course again.”
The Club boasts facilities to make your corporate golf day or social round of golf, a memorable one.
Zwartkop Country Club was founded in 1933 making it one of the oldest and most prestigious clubs in the Pretoria area. The greatest names in golf have walked the fairways, from Bob Charles, Tony Jacklin, Billy Casper, Arnold Palmer, Bobby Locke, Gary Player, Seve Ballesteros, Lee Trevino, Nick Faldo, Ernie Els, Nick Price and Retief Goosen. The club has hosted many significant professional events over the years, including the 1955 SA Open (the only one ever played in Pretoria), the ICL International, a regular tournament on the Sunshine Tour during the 80’s and a memorable exhibition game between Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player during the 60's.
